The process of regionalization of the Colombian Caribbean has many eyes, as the actor who promotes, and as well as the creation of new municipalities and departments failed to meet promises and expectations they created, at the time, in populations, chances are the same will happen if one day the region to create a political-administrative entity. This reflection takes as its starting point the scientific work of Orlando Fals Borda about the history of the Colombian Caribbean and its proposal for reorganization, as well as the look of the subject from one of his players in the Depresion Momposina, where the ideas of Fals Borda took strength to become the subject of discussion in the Constituent of 91. At the bottom of the reflection is the problem of power and social and human development of the colombian Caribbean, which often remains hidden in the proposals of many leaders politicians who promote the development of the region as a territorial entity.
