Nowadays we live in times in which transformation is necessary. Possibly, never like now, does that of renewing or dying make so much sense. In higher education and in business management, as in all areas of life, you have to update yourself. The changing environment of the globalized world, as well as the constant internal changes promoted by business organizations, have accelerated the generation of new knowledge to achieve competitive positions and stimulate innovation in the business environment. However, the generation of knowledge demands from companies the development of capacities to rethink, renew and reorder inputs, processes and products.
From this point of view, and taking into account the new realities faced by universities in the generation and production of knowledge to face technological, scientific and market competitiveness changes, it is expected that it will have a more consistent social projection on paper. it performs, for which reason it is essential to review and discuss the university as a traditional model in which the scientific and professional fields are fundamentally oriented inwards and to begin to propose a different path of articulation with its environment, based on a model that guarantee its sustainability and sustainability, through the permanent development of knowledge through research work.
