El turismo como dinamizador del desarrollo económico: una revisión mixta de la producción científica

Las actividades turísticas son catalizadoras de las dinámicas económicas en los territorios, pues responden a altas demandas en términos de insumos y mano de obra. En consecuencia, el turismo se ha consolidado como una agenda crucial asociada a los diferentes planes de desarrollo del país. El objetivo de esta investigación consistió en analizar los estudios sobre el turismo como dinamizador del desarrollo económico. Se hizo una revisión mixta de la literatura en la base de datos Scopus (2014-2024). El comportamiento de las publicaciones fue ascendente hasta el año 2022, con predominio de los artículos de investigación en el área de las ciencias sociales. Se identificaron cuatro líneas de investigación científica, los autores más representativos y los rangos promedios de citaciones en el área del objeto de estudio. Los resultados permitieron concluir que se trata de un campo relevante, con múltiples investigaciones y contribuciones significativas al desarrollo sostenible.
