Factores impulsores de la innovación frugal en la sostenibilidad de las organizaciones

Resumen

Este artículo destaca los aportes de la innovación frugal en la generación de valor y sostenibilidad de las organizaciones en países emergentes. Se consultaron 215 artículos de investigación en revistas científicas que tienen alto impacto de bases de datos Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO Business Source Premier, Science Direct y Springer, en el período 2010-2021, considerando como ecuación de búsqueda de las palabras clave los términos en inglés innovation, frugal y sustainable, lo que permitió la filtración final de 30 artículos, después se seleccionaron los documentos que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y cuyos resultados evidenciaran la contribución y beneficios de la innovación frugal. Como resultado se destaca la contribución de destacados y novedosos productos frugales aplicados exitosamente en diferentes sectores económicos de Asia y África. Se concluye que la innovación frugal impulsa la creación de bienes y servicios con desempeño superior frente a los productos carentes de innovación.
