Abstract

From a history of the modern concept of equality, this article intends to show how that term is conceived in some contemporary theories of justice, as Rawls’s contract theory, in contrast to a non-contract theory, as is the capability approach defending Sen and Nussbaum. From this comparison, it is inquiring about the advantages that the latter two hold on the proposal Rawls.
