With the advancement of technology through digital media, mechanisms were created to facilitate different legal activities such as: judicial processes, contractual enforcement, judgments with the help of digital instruments (AI), etc. Taking into account such technological progress, this research will address the issue of smart contracts from a methodology with a heuristic approach and hermeneutic approach, the first is the qualitative approach that I use for research, while the second focused on the doctrinal analysis of all those that focus on the issue of legal Smart contract, to subsequently make a comparative study between the articles of the civil code, code of commerce and doctrine related to the contract of sale, for such effect the paper was divided into 4 moments in the first legal business and traditional contract of sale, the second smart contracts concept, history and utility, third the comparative advantages of the two models and fourth application in Colombia: challenges and perspectives
