Libre Empresa accepts for publication, articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese, unpublished and original, product of research, reflection and reviews, which follow a rigorous research methodology with significant contributions to the economic, administrative and accounting sciences focused mainly on the thematic areas of business management and administration, business management, entrepreneurship, economic development, finance, accounting, industrial organization, regional economy. The editorial team tests the text in the Turnitin tool to control referencing and prevent cases of plagiarism.
GUIDELINES FOR THE AUTHORS
The selected articles will be submitted to double-blind review by two academic peers (double-blind review - meaning that the author does not know who is evaluating him/her, and the referee does not know who he/she is evaluating).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
The following criteria are recommended:
- Articles should be between 15 and 25 pages long in Word format in Arial 12 font, single spaced, with their respective footnotes and bibliographical references.
- Articles should be written in the third person singular (impersonal), have adequate punctuation and wording and be free of spelling errors.
The order of the sections of the article should follow a similar order to the following:
1. Presentation page
- Title in English and Spanish: It should be concise but informative about the central content of the publication. It should not exceed 20 words.
- Brief description of each author: Authors will be identified with their name, surname(s), the levels of training achieved, institutional linkage -city, country-, position, correspondence address and contact email. In the case of several authors, one author should be selected for correspondence.
- Analytical summary in Spanish and English: no more than 200 words, describing the aims or objectives, the material and method, the main results and the most important conclusions. Citations and equations should be avoided.
- Key words in Spanish and English: Authors should propose 3 to 8 keywords that identify the article.
2. Body of the article
- Introduction: Gives an account of the background and objective of the research. It sets out the thread of the article.
- Theoretical framework. It includes the bibliographic review that justifies the research, where the results of studies that validate the importance and need for the research work are commented on.
- Methodology. It presents and justifies the chosen methodology, and then develops it and shows the results of its application.
- Results: Presents the main results of the application of the methodology used in an understandable and necessary way to evaluate the validity of the research.
- Conclusions: They are connected with the purposes of the study established in the Introduction, but they do not represent a summary of it. The recommendations and limitations of the article are highlighted and future lines of research are proposed.
- Bibliography or sources of information: It only contains the documents that were cited in the text and should go at the end of the article. These will be presented according to the APA sixth edition style.

Bibliographic references: they will be included in the body of the text in two ways: as a narrative (only the year of publication is enclosed in parentheses, e.g.: Surname (year)); and as a reference (the author's surname and year are enclosed in parentheses, e.g: (Surname, year)). In the case of more than two authors cite the surname of all the first time and then only the first one followed by "et al. In the footnotes only explanatory information will be shown, consecutive and without graphics.
4. Footnotes: Footnotes shall show only explanatory information, consecutive, without graphs, figures or tables
5. Quotations. Corresponds to original material cited from another source. A short textual quotation (less than 40 words) is incorporated into the text and enclosed in double quotes. Quotations of more than 40 words should be placed in a separate block, without quotes, with smaller font size. In any case, always add the author, year and specific page of the quoted text, and include the complete reference in the reference list. Citations must be faithful, that is, no changes should be made to the text, even if the spelling is wrong. They should not be in underlined or italicized text and in cases where the author wishes to emphasize, he may add italicized text and then bracket the text "[italicized added]". Only the page number should be added in cases of textual quotations (includes graphics and tables as well).
6. Tables, figures and illustrations: They must be original and come on separate sheets, identified in Arabic numerals for figures and Roman numerals for tables. The digitized images should come on separate diskettes, clearly identified in their labels the format and resolution. Tables and figures should have a title that clearly expresses the content.
It should also be attached: (We attach formats to the mail).
- Completed article application form.
- Author's resume format, filled out by each author.
- Model document for guarantees and assignment of copy rights in the name of Revista Libre Empresa.
- Declaration of Conflict of Interest document.
The ideas, opinions or conclusions expressed in the articles are the exclusive responsibility of the authors. We recommend the authors to read the established instructions. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to reduce the number of articles, modify their presentation and review the order. The main author will receive an edited version for approval at his/her e-mail address. It also reserves the right to reject papers or ask authors for modifications that academic peers consider relevant and necessary.
