Psychosocial risk of mental burden in the university teacher

Introduction: The study of organizational and psychosocial aspects and their relationship with occupational health is not something new, although its importance and recognition has been acquired in recent years, as a consequence of important changes in organizations and globalization processes current. Objectives: To analyze the bibliographic production of psychosocial risks, mainly the mental load on university teachers Methodology: Through bibliographic review, with scientific bases and related studies in the area, it will be analyzed how the psychosocial risk factors of mental load influence university teaching staff Results: The bibliographic search showed that psychosocial risk factors can unleash a high mental and emotional burden on teachers that can affect their health and the development of their activities and working conditions, leading to disabilities and absenteeism, negatively impacting the occupational health and safety management of the country's Higher Education Institutions.
