Introduction: This article delves into the main trends in educational management in Higher Education Institutions. It highlights the urgent need for universities to adapt their management frameworks to address challenges related to digital transformation, sustainability, and quality assurance. Objective: This study aims to explore and analyze the ever-evolving landscape of educational management in higher education institutions. Method: The methodology includes a comprehensive review of relevant literature published between 2019 and 2024 in the Scopus database. By combining bibliometric analysis with qualitative assessments, this study provides a nuanced understanding of the trends shaping educational management in the higher education sector. Result: This study's results reveal a significant increase in scientific production related to educational management, accompanied by a rise in international collaboration. Emerging topics such as digital transformation, sustainability management, and adaptive leadership are significant focus areas within the field. Conclusions: This study underscores the need to explore less-researched areas, such as the ethical implications of technology and the importance of developing more inclusive and sustainable strategies for university management. It also emphasizes that digital transformation, organizational leadership, and sustainability will be key areas for future research. Empirical contribution: This study's empirical contribution lies in its thorough analysis of current trends and future perspectives in educational management in higher education institutions. By combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies, this research provides valuable insights into the evolving landscape of educational management.
