Usos sociales y culturales de la memoria, a la gobernanza del agua: un escenario de acción participativa

Abstract

The central theme was oriented to the territorial affectations of the lack of access to water in the inhabitants of the island of Baru, bearing in mind the social, political and cultural uses of memory as a territorializing and resistance instrument in the face of this problem. The devices and instruments that function as a catalyst of memories were considered as central axes, protecting the territory as a cultural and social value as a place of memory, product of a social, political and cultural construction of the past. The objective is to generate knowledge of the social, political and cultural dimensions surrounding the use of water in Baru Island - Cartagena de Indias D.T. Y C. and the analysis of the effects left by the absence of this resource in Baru Island, identifying the strategies and scenarios of participation that can be used by the inhabitants of Baru Island for the management of water as a common good in the community. The methodological proposal is based on Participatory Action Research (PAR), which will promote collective learning and a pertinent approach to the problems of the township. This methodology allowed the generation of spaces for observation, reflection, analysis and proactive dialogue, through scenic and audiovisual presentations, to raise awareness in order to become transforming agents of the reality of the lack of access to water in the island of Baru - Cartagena de Indias D.T. Y C. PRA implied taking a broad look at the processes of research and collective action, promoting participatory democracy, understanding social, political and cultural realities as multiple, changing, holistic and built from community intersubjectivities.
