Principios Eticos
Ethical Responsability of the authors
CRITERIO LIBRE JURÍDICO adopts the directive "Responsible publication of research: international standards for publishers", of the 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity-Singapore. Text also published by COPE.
Authorship
There are three types of authorships that are considered unacceptable:
- Phantom authors, who contribute substantially but are not recognized (often paid).
- Guest authors, who do not make any discernible contribution, but are appointed to increase the chances of publication.
- Honorary authorships, which are based solely on an affiliation you have with a study (director of a laboratory).
The list of authors should include only those people who have contributed intellectually to the development of the work. The authorship statement will accurately reflect the individual contributions to the work. The authors agree to assume the collective responsibility of the work presented and published, Criterio Libre Jurídico declines any responsibility on possible conflicts derived from the authorship of the works that are published in the Journal.
Other possible problems are:
- Authors participating in a study, but not listed.
- Authors who take the idea of others and publish an article claiming full authorship.
- Authors who find your name in a publication without your permission.
Financing
The authors must declare both the sources of funding and possible conflicts of interest.
Permit obtainment
The authors are responsible for obtaining the appropriate permissions to partially reproduce material (photos, text, tables or figures) of other publications. These permits must be requested both from the author and from the publisher who has published said material.
Redundant or duplicate publication
Criterio Libre Jurídico does not accept previously published material - partially or totally - and will not consider for publication manuscripts that are sent simultaneously to other journals, nor redundant or duplicate publications, that is, articles that substantially overlap another already published, printed or in electronic media. It is necessary to quote and include the bibliographic reference of these previous publications in the new manuscript. Authors should be aware that not revealing that the material submitted for publication has already been fully or partially published constitutes a serious breach of scientific ethics.
If Criterio Libre Jurídico, during editorial process, finds falsification, omission of data, duplication of articles or plagiarism, the original will be returned to the author with due notification to his sponsoring institution, research center or university. Each of the articles submitted to the journal will be verified with internal procedures to avoid plagiarism and duplication of articles (Software Turnitin). The author who is detected plagiarism, can not submit articles alone, or as a co-author for five years.Responsabilidad para los evaluadores
