Abstract

This article presents the results of empirical study to obtain the most relevant parameters to be taken into account when designing and building a table that isolates and dampens external vibrations. The need for a vibration-isolated system for studies and development of holographic nondestructive testing by optical methods, is that the sensitivity of the diffraction effects in a hologram or a phenomenon of interference is in the order of tenths and hundredths of a micrometer. Here the resonance equation is analyzed for a system with one degree of freedom at low and high frequencies and then analyze an extrapolation of it. The damping coefficients of the different sheets with which the table is built, are experimentally calculated by an accelerometer.
