Abstract

One of the main problems within a company is that the production lines stop due to lack of material, generating additional costs by covering with extra time the production that is lost, as well as the risk of not complying with the deliveries on time with the customer, which would cause the loss of the customer.

In this sense, the present research work has the intention of analyzing how logistics influences the production lines in a company so that they are not affected by lack of material. The methodological approach to be used will be qualitative and descriptive since grounded theory is used as the basis of the object of study.

Undoubtedly, logistics plays an important role within business organizations, since it ensures that production lines always have the raw material available to avoid problems arising from lack of material. In addition, it can be added that logistics can reduce operating costs due to lack of material, as well as ensure that the customer receives the final product on time and with the required quality.
