Abstract

The academy, attending social, political and economic realities, becomes a scenario of inclusion through the development of projects that take into account those who have historically been excluded. Popular consultations, referendums, popular legislative initiatives and open councils are clear examples of participatory democracy scenarios that are grounded in doctrine and in the scientific work of education.

In the same way, scientific research and its results offer solutions to the problems studied and theoretical and practical approaches to which they are to be solved. The evidences of developed research are a sample of the scope of education in the social realities. The academy has been close to the problems of the Colombian reality and has offered solutions to scenarios of overcoming armed conflicts for the construction of peace and that is why its role in postconflict should be aimed at social inclusion and outreach Of scientific knowledge that meets the needs of the community.
