Abstract

This researcharticle explores the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Port of Cartagena, Colombia, and its implications for port logistics. The study focuses on four key stakeholders: customers, employees, suppliers and the community. A comprehensive evaluation of CSR initiatives is carried out through a rating system that allows the port to measure its performance and competitiveness. The Port of Cartagena shows a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, taking measures to reduce its negative environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental laws by contractors. Effective communication channels have been established to address recommendations and observations from internal and external sources, identifying opportunities for service improvement.
Collaboration with suppliers and the local
community is a fundamental aspect of effective CSR management. Criteria have been established for the selection and evaluation of
suppliers, along with initiatives to contribute
to the development of the local community. The article highlights the importance of
technology and operational efficiency in port logistics, with investments in modern machinery and the expansion of facilities that improve the capacity and quality of service. The diversity of port services and the participation of various stakeholders, such as suppliers, transporters, container depots and customs, are crucial elements in international logistics.
