Presento una traducción profesional, con redacción fluida y terminología propia de instrucciones para autores en revistas académicas:

1. Submission preparation checklist

To ensure a fair and timely evaluation, the journal asks authors to carefully verify that their submission complies with all the requirements detailed below. Adherence to these guidelines is essential to guarantee the quality of publications and to streamline the review process.

Any failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the rejection of the article without exception.

a) Originality and exclusivity. The article is an original work, does not infringe copyright, and is submitted exclusively to this journal. It has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by any other publication.

b) Formats and files. Two separate files (title page and manuscript) have been prepared in the original language of the article (Spanish or English), strictly following the templates available in the Instructions for Authors section. Both files are in Microsoft Word format and have been fully completed.

c) Content and presentation. The manuscript includes all figures and tables in an editable, full-color format, inserted within the text to facilitate comprehension. All cited references include their corresponding DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or web address, whenever possible.

d) Blind review. The manuscript has been fully anonymized, following the journal’s instructions to ensure a fair and unbiased double‑blind peer review process.

e) Authorization for the processing of personal data. By submitting their manuscript to the journal, authors agree to comply with the parameters of the editorial process, the ethics and quality guidelines, and all other journal policies.

f) Additional declarations. Any use of artificial intelligence tools, where applicable, has been transparently declared, as well as any potential conflict of interest.

2. Instructions for authors

1) Required submission files

a) Title page
b) Manuscript

2) Style guide

a) Word limit. Submitted articles must have a minimum length of 6,000 words and a maximum of 8,000 words (excluding abstract and references).

b) Font and size. The text, tables, and illustrations must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12‑point font.

c) Line spacing. The text must be double‑spaced at 1.5 line spacing.

d) References. The journal uses the APA referencing system, 7th edition.

e) Headings. Three heading levels are used:

i. First level: left‑aligned heading, in bold, with initial capital letter, 14‑point font.
ii. Second level: left‑aligned heading, in bold, with initial capital letter, 12‑point font.
iii. Third level: run‑in paragraph heading, in bold italics, with initial capital letter, 12‑point font.

f) Footnotes. Footnotes should be used sparingly and only to provide brief and essential explanations that complement the main text, but are not critical to understanding the argument.

g) Abbreviations. Abbreviations must be used sparingly and follow the internationally accepted nomenclature of the relevant discipline. They must be defined the first time they appear in the text and then used consistently thereafter. They should not be used at the beginning of a sentence, in the title, and their use in the abstract should be avoided.

h) Equations. If the article includes equations, they must be left‑aligned and numbered consecutively within each section. It is recommended to use a specialized equation editor such as LaTeX, MathType, or the built‑in editors in Microsoft Word to ensure correct rendering of mathematical symbols. The meaning of each symbol used in the equations must be clearly explained in the text.

i) Tables and figures. Tables and figures must be prepared in accordance with APA (7th edition) guidelines and submitted in an editable format. They must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text. Each figure must include a clear and concise caption in Times New Roman, 10‑point font. The caption should be self‑explanatory, without requiring the reader to refer to other parts of the text. All abbreviations and acronyms used in captions must be explained. If tables or figures are reproduced from other sources, they must be faithfully reproduced and the source cited according to APA guidelines. When tables or figures are of the authors’ own creation, the phrase “Source: authors’ own work” must be included at the end of the caption.

j) Images, maps, and illustrations. All images must have a minimum resolution of 600 dpi and be presented in color. Maps must include a legend, cardinal points, and a scale when relevant. Illustrations subject to copyright restrictions require explicit legal authorization, which must be attached to the originality and copyright transfer form.

3. Submission preparation

a) Use of templates. All submissions consist of two separate files in the original language of the article (Spanish or English), which can be downloaded at the following links: title page and manuscript. Submissions must be made exclusively through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, in full compliance with the journal’s style guide.

b) Title page. This file, available at the corresponding link, must be prepared in Microsoft Word, letter size, with 2.54 cm margins, and must include the following information:

c) Author information. Full names of all authors (maximum four), institutional affiliations (university or organization), institutional email addresses (excluding commercial services such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.), and individual ORCID iDs. Each author must have a visible and up‑to‑date individual ORCID iD; if they do not have one, it can be generated at the provided link. Each author must also provide a brief summary of their academic background and research interests (maximum 50 words).

ii) Article type. The type of article must be clearly specified.

iii) Conflict of interest statement. Authors must declare whether there are any conflicts of interest that may influence the results or publication of the article, whether arising from personal, professional, or financial relationships. A conflict of interest arises when such factors bias or influence the conclusions, results, or any aspect of the research, or compromise copyright or editorial decision‑making. For more information, please consult the journal’s ethics and quality guidelines at the corresponding link.

iv) Funding. The source of funding that supported the research must be indicated, including the reference code where applicable.

v) Academic acknowledgements (optional). Acknowledgements may be included for sponsoring institutions, collaborators, reviewers, translators, and any other support received for the research.

d) Manuscript. This file, available at the corresponding link, must be prepared in Microsoft Word, letter size, with 2.54 cm margins, and must include the following information:

i) Title. A maximum of 15 words, clearly and attractively describing the main topic of the article and the approach adopted.

ii) Abstract. A maximum of 150 words, clearly and concisely presenting the main points of the article. It must include, at a minimum, the overall objective of the research, the methodology employed, the most relevant results, and the main conclusions.

iii) Keywords. Up to five keywords, in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons, accurately describing the content of the article. Keywords must be relevant, specific, and preferably included in the UNESCO thesaurus, available at the corresponding link.

iv) Introduction. This section must contextualize the research, presenting the research problem and its relevance. It must state the main research question and justify the importance of addressing it.

v) Theoretical framework. This section must set out the theoretical framework underpinning the research. It should review the main theories and concepts related to the topic and explain how they relate to the research question.

vi) Methodology. This section must describe in detail the research design, the population or sample, the data collection instruments used, and the procedure followed for data analysis. Where applicable, it must indicate approval by the ethics committee of the participating institutions.

vii) Results. This section presents the findings of the research. Tables, charts, or figures should be used to illustrate the results clearly and concisely.

viii) Discussion. This section interprets the results, relating them to the theoretical framework and the research question. It should discuss the theoretical and practical implications of the findings, identify the study’s limitations, and propose future lines of research.

ix) Conclusions. This section summarizes the main conclusions of the research and highlights the study’s contribution to existing knowledge in the field.

x) References. A complete list of all sources cited in the text must be included, following APA 7th‑edition style.

xi) Additional considerations:

(1) Quotations. Direct quotations of fewer than 40 words must be placed in double quotation marks (“ ”). If a quotation appears within another quotation, single quotation marks (‘ ’) should be used. Omissions in the text must be indicated with ellipsis in parentheses (...). Quotations of more than 40 words must appear in a separate, indented paragraph (5 spaces), in 11‑point font and without quotation marks.

(2) Foreign languages. Words and phrases in foreign languages must be written in italics. Where necessary, a translation may be included in parentheses.

(3) Figures and tables. All figures and tables must be numbered and have a descriptive title. They must be included in the text and explicitly referred to in the body of the manuscript.

(4) Anonymity. To ensure a fair and impartial peer review process, the manuscript must be fully anonymous. Authors must ensure that any identifying information is removed, including their names, institutional affiliations, and any other personal references. This also includes the removal of personal acknowledgements and any detail that may reveal the authors’ identity.
