Abstract

Context: The value chain in the process of transforming a good involves the strategic and coordinated interaction of agents in the generation of value.

Methodology: A characterization instrument was supported in the case study, which has 27 questions that considered 3 dimensions: landscape, regime and niche. Based on the above, the instrument was applied to potato producers to collect information.

Results: Based on the results, it is deduced that there is a lack of communication in certain sectors where potatoes are produced and marketed, in addition the presence of knowledge transfer plays a fundamental role within the process in Sibaté.

Conclusions: The transfer of knowledge is a fundamental element within the implementation of the transformative social innovation model in all actors related to the commercialization of potatoes (whether commercial or non-commercial).
