Abstract

This proposal aims to demonstrate national and international regulations and their actions concerning the Inclusive Educational System. This document confirmed, within the framework of international norms and Colombian policy, compliance with them in favor of the empowerment of autistic children’s abilities. The information was collected from the reading, analysis, and arduous comparison of multiple national and international standards and specialized studies related to inclusive education. That said, the data were collected through documentary analysis, and the final results pointed to the failure and limitation of the regulations in the Colombian school environment due to the lack of resources and the lack of support for teachers. In summary, the discrepancy between the legislation from the national and international framework and the validation of the rights of children with disabilities is alarming since the fair treatment of more than 115,000 autistic students must prevail, and its indispensable development.
