Classical music vs Colombian instrumental: A comparison of its effects in Colombian university students’ stress in exams taking
Keywords:
Exams taking, music, stress reduction.Abstract
This article exposes an experimental case study on music impact regarding languages testing at a public university of Colombia. This proposal aimed at analyzing the stress reduction in groups of basic French learners at the Explora’s learning program by comparing the students’ perception of their stress level by listening to classical and instrumental music before taking an exam. Data were gathered through surveys, previous research studies and documentary inquiry. Expected findings revealed an emerging influence of music on students’ stress level. Thus, instrumental Colombian music seems to shape the stress level of users further than expected.
