Volatilidad del tipo de cambio y crecimiento económico: una revisión de los mecanismos de transmisión en economías en desarrollo

La presente investigación tiene como propósito comprender los mecanismos de transmisión de la volatilidad del tipo de cambio sobre el nivel de actividad económica en las naciones en desarrollo. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se adelanta una investigación documental, realizando una búsqueda en la basa de datos de Scopus de todos los artículos relacionados con este tópico para un periodo de diecinueve años (2001 al 2020). Entre los hallazgos, se destaca que existen diversos canales de la transmisión de la volatilidad del tipo de cambio sobre el crecimiento económico; siendo los más relevantes en la coyuntura actual, los efectos sobre la dinámica de los precios, así como su incidencia en la producción industrial.
