FOCUS AND REACH
The Culture of Care Journal is an open access publication without APC charge (Article Processing Charge) with six-monthly periodicity, of scientific character, mediated by external peers, its mission is to be a space open to thinking and criticism, respectful of diversity and generator of knowledge, that hopes to reach academic communities and institutions related to health on a regional, national and international field, with publications resulting of the academic activity related to care, in maximum reliability, consistency, veracity and present conditions.
The Journal has a national and international distribution to academical, healthcare and administrative entities of the health field, and it is directed to all natural or legal people with the interest of disclosing mostly research, topic revisions, academic, research, teaching and healthcare experiences, as well as reflections on the healthcare and health education areas, with an emphasis on nursing care. It is directed to all healthcare and social sciences workers and it has a six-monthly periodicity.

The Journal receives unedited articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese, that are sent online. All received manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Journal’s Editorial Committee, and subsequently, by two evaluating peers with national and international recognition (double blind review), who recommend or not the publication. Finally, the editor-in-chief, based on the Journal’s norms, the value of the article’s scientific contribution and the arbitrators’ opinion, will define if they accept the paper, publishable with modifications, reassessment or non-publishable.
The Culture of Care in Nursing Journal, since its beginning, Vol. 1 (1) in 2004 until its vol. 15 (1) in 2018 has maintained its printed version with ISSN: 1794-5232, and since the volume. 15 (2) in 2018, it also maintains an electronic publication with E-ISSN: 2665-1262.
Edited in Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. Funded by the Universidad Libre seccional Pereira. This Journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) about good practices in the ethics of publication.
