Abstract

Introduction

Von Willebrand’s disease is considered one of the most frequent hereditary bleeding disorders, which is characterized by a quantitative, qualitative, or functional defect of the Von Willebrand factor (VWF) level, which causes difficulties for the healing process. hemostasis. It is classified into three types: Type I, Type II and Type III affecting the female and male population to the same extent. For this reason, they require specific care interventions by the nursing professional to guarantee the maintenance of health and prevent the risk associated with bleeding complications. during their life cycle.

Methods

A bibliographic review of the subject was carried out through various online databases such as Scielo, Dialnet, PubMed, Elsevier. Where it was possible to show that there are currently no articles that specifically abound in nursing care for patients diagnosed with Von Willebrand disease. Reason why this article was built based on experience and taking into account It has medical literature where the concept, diagnosis and treatment of Von Willebrand disease is addressed, the starting point to establish the interventions of the nursing care plan.

Objectives

To carry out a review on the essential aspects to achieve adequate care management in patients diagnosed with Von Willebrand disease.

Results

The perception and definition of care is different according to the appreciation and experience in the field of each nursing professional, however there is a common point regarding the need to guarantee the maintenance of health and guarantee prevention. of risk through each of the proposed care interventions.

Conclusions

In order to guarantee the ideal care management for patients with a diagnosis of Von Willebrand disease, it is necessary for the nursing professional to prepare a care plan that is mainly focused on the assessment of patterns and analysis of each one of them. the priority needs. To carry out the adaptation of the necessary proposed interventions and thus guarantee the maintenance of health and the prevention of the risk associated with their disease.
