Abstract

Problem: the decomposition of pig production releases methane concentrations (CH ), which affect the environment; although on a small scale, like filtration of swine waste to rivers or canals, which provide irrigation and other uses, thus causing the propagation and contamination of soil and water. Objective: To diagnose the production of compost and biogas from hog waste. Methodology: through a bibliographic review, it was possible to identify the different types of digesters and the type of digester to be built, and then the prototype was developed to be launched and obtain biogas. Results: For composting process, it was developed a composter, where the handling was demonstrated under conditions of temperature between 19-21°C, humidity between 50-70%, among others. To obtain biogás, it was built a digester discontinuous flow in a cylindrical tank of approximately 166 liters in which a one-to-one ratio.was handled. Conclusions: it was identified the type of digester to produce biogas; also, it determined that carbon nitrogen ratios are optimal to begin the process to obtain biogas.
