Focus and Scope

Avances: Investigación en Ingeniería, is a Journal seeks to publish original articles, with great influence and contribution in Engineering, Basic Sciences and Applied Statistics. Avances receives research articles in language Spanish and English. However, other languages would be accepted. The Editorial team works with commitment in the reception, evaluation and publication of the articles, maintaining high standards of quality that guarantee the appropriation, generation and exchange of knowledge for the research, development and innovation.

The strengthening of the research process in the Faculty of Engineering is a great achievement, visible and recognized, not only on the stage of the University but also in external sectors such as the Governmental, Educational and Productive.

This Edition highlights the articles made in strategic alliance with external sectors to the Institution of the national and international context, we show advances, results and conclusions of research with the support of prestigious companies and entities Academics who have given their support and confidence to the Faculty Research Centre;it shows that the alliance between university, Industrial and government produces mutual benefits as developments that benefit the technological community and society in general.

The consolidation of the research is also evidenced by the creation of new research groups that support the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and from this editorial, the Research Centre augurs the best successes for the groups formalized inthe UNIVERSITY and COLCIENCIAS.
