Abstract

In this paper we present a description about diabetes and an account of some technological developments that have been made over the years with the intention of improving the quality of life of diabetics. Diabetes being one of the first 4 non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with the highest number of patients and a high mortality rate, not only in Mexico, but worldwide.
