Abstract

The present article describes the results upon theeconomic growth and the employment of the industrialsector in Colombia during the period 2001-2005,classify according to the size of their businesses ingreat industry, medium industry and small industryand analyzing the results obtained as classifying it toeconomic branches of activity “leaders” or “left behind”.The great participation is concluded of the MIPYMES inthe growth of the sector and in that of the employmentand the importance to follow accelerating the politics ofincentive state to this type of businesses, dice its largesocial and economic effects.
