Contract adhesion in the colombian law and the law of consumer protection

The contract of adhesion has been since birth one of the most controversial institutions of private law, from its features have been outlined different theories some of them that deny the nature of contractual relationship, while others consider that its use is necessary within the market economy and justifiable as a tool for trade based on the mass production of goods and services typical of our times. Beyond the discussion about the legal nature of the contract of adhesion, the following article focuses specifically on the analysis of legislative regulation in Colombia about contract of adhesion, since its first appearance in our legal system to the most recent contained in the new consumer protection law, Act 1480 of 2011.
