In this research we analyze the elements of neuroplaning present in the strategic process of the private universities of Zulia state. This work was based on the theoretical postulates of Pittaluga (2015), Marafuschi (2014), Hill and Col (2011), Braidot (2010), Mintzberg (1999) and Bertalanffy (1980). In this study, typified as descriptive, non-experimental, transverse and field, the data was collected through a questionnaire with a scale of frequencies, submitted to the judgment of experts and whose reliability Cronbach's alpha was 0.92, being located in a category of very high reliability. The results show that strategic thinking is the only element of neuroplaning that is almost always present in the strategic process of the universities studied, however, some of the other elements presented a moderate level of occurrence, which indicates that the management of these institutions must address internal realities that allow them to strengthen the strategic skills of their managerial staff, because, the effectiveness of any strategic process does not only rest on the leaders having a visionary thinking, but also on the constant implementation of the comprehensive analysis of the whole and its parts, the continuous application of creativity, the study of various success models offered by the environment.
