Abstract

Th e Crito is a dialogue in the early days of Plato which speaks of Justice and injustice. Socrates has been sentenced to death and is in prison waiting for the day of his execution. Crito has got and expected Socrates sleep to be able to converse with him. Finally awakens and Crito off ers escape from prison. Th e dialogue between these plot revolves around the answer to be given to such a proposal, and if this is injustice. Th is article aims to show the diff erent ways how justice is presented as the dialogue progresses, taking into account that a test prior to such development requires a conceptual separation according to a more general division: Temis is the mother of all form of Justice and it is understood according to Aristotle as a proportion (1998, p. 54), i.e. balance. Th eir daughters are hours, which is in charge of Justice in Hades; Eirene who refers to the isotimia, or balance in having (Hesiod, 1998, p. 75). Th is paper will focus only on Dike, which is where about dialogue, and the aforementioned forms of justice are to be understood as forms or faces, or better still, mask the dikai in the Crito.
