Abstract

The criteria for determining authorship should be clear and transparent, based on the contribution that each researcher has made to the design, execution or interpretation of the study; undeserved authorship, whether by gift, implications of university policies regarding the scientific production to which they are obliged or exclusion, constitutes an unethical conduct that damages the credibility of the authors and the publication, taking into account the contribution to the research, the order of authorship should be considered, In order to ensure integrity in scientific publications, it is recommended that the editorial committees of journals establish or implement ethical guidelines and good practices, which should be understood and followed by all those involved in the process of publication of articles.
