Abstract

The digital transformation in the banking sector, driven by the adoption of digital technologies, has
led to more competitive services. This change has facilitated transactions, making them more
efficient, and expanded access to services, which has improved financial development and
promoted economic stability. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of online banking
services, increasing the use of the cloud to store customer information and promoting sustainable
financial inclusion. This study, using the SCOPUS database, analyzes the progress of banking
digitalization and its impact on the industry, using the tree of science methodology to identify trends
and relationships. It highlights the need for banks to embrace digitalization to remain relevant and
competitive in an ever-evolving market.
