Abstract

The port logistics activity in foreign trade is vital to the development of trade between economies. We are currently in a global environment, which requires greater competitiveness in activities involving economic dynamism, including port logistics network is immersed in the system that is a crucial axis of the globalization process. It’s necessary to prioritize and understand the importance that represents for Colombia the port logistics activity in the process of FTA; according with Poveda (2013) the situation in Colombia in the last 10 years has showed advances in the strategic export plan, which has as main objective to strengthen access to new markets through the negotiation of Free Trade Agreements (FTA). Considering the above, the issue focuses on the impact that the FTA in port logistics processes of the main ports of Colombia, since by its trajectory can be very useful when characterizing the system processes, meet the challenges facing the country.
