Análisis de la balanza de pagos en Colombia (1996 - 2012)

Abstract

The article reflects an analysis of the financial economic outlook in Colombia, based on the analysis of the balance of payments from 1996 to 2012, it identifies important issues such as decisions on economic and financial matters that have been taken by more than a decade which influenced the development of the country; the data collected for this analysis were extracted from the databases of the bank of the Republic. The results show mainly that the country experienced economic growth stages of economic expansion and recession but with a better recovery and financial stability of the companies, the management of interest rates for better access to credit, new products, the appreciation of the peso, are largely a reflection of the economic recovery and confidence that has been placed in the business sector which is a major attraction for other countries.
