Abstract

Objective: To describe the cynical case of a patient with ectopic pregnancy in a cesarean section (ECCE), who underwent selective embolization of the left uterine artery to preserve her fertility, after using methotrexate as initial management. Materials and Methods: the clinical case of a patient with a diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy in a cesarean section is presented, attended in a private clinic in Barranquilla (Colombia), methotrexate was applied as a treatment option and later selective embolization of the uterine artery left to preserve your fertility. Conclusions: ECCE increases maternal morbidity, and depends on timely diagnosis and accurate management to avoid serious outcomes. Conservative management is described with the use of methotrexate and later uterine artery embolization, which is done in order to preserve the fertility of the patient.
