The imaginary Wayuu women in modernity

Abstract

The regions of the Colombian Caribbean coast, are an area where there are diversities of cultures that represent the native and original of what we consider our. In this regard, the wayú ethnic group, represents one of the most emblematic cultural groups not only of the country but in Latin America, due to the complexity of each of the structures that constitute your knowledge and daily practices. That is why, it is relevant to analyse this culture, but from the female point of view, understanding that in the wayú of kinship ties legitimate so to speak are represented by women, but there is the disappointment that despite that recognition is undervalued by the male members of the Group; there that is relevant to analyze the imagery of the wayuu in the modern woman. For which work with different authors such as Foucault (1975), Comesaña (1995), Amodio (2005), among others, following a methodology of documentary and bibliographical nature, in order to conclude on the concepts that have been woven on the duty to be Western women and they have traspolado to the these times wayú women is treated.
