Labor Regime of the Judicial Branch - Pending Issues on the Salary Scale of the Tribunal Magistrate

Abstract

A brief historical description of the salary regime applicable to the Judicial Branch and the Public Ministry divided into three periods is presented: the one between 1886 and 1963, prior to the career regime; from 1964 to 1991, of consecration of the judicial career, and from 1992 to 1998 in force and regulation of Law 4 of 1992, with the objective of characterizing, in the scale of magistrate, the requirements for the exercise of the position, salary grade and their equivalences, to finally identify problematic aspects in the regulation exercised by the national government.
