Optimización del departamento de caja en una empresa distribuidora de alimentos e insumos de aseo

Abstract

This article analyzes the optimization of the cash department in a food and cleaning products distribution company, headquartered in the cities Cartagena and Barranquilla -Colombia, highlighting the importance of modernizing financial processes. It identifies that the lack of innovation and the use of outdated methods affect efficiency and may lead to economic losses. The research, of a descriptive nature, aimed to identify and analyze the cash department’s processes, as well as opportunities for improvement within the distribution company. The results reveal various deficiencies, including inadequate cash flow planning and poor accounting records, factors that have negatively impacted the company’s growth. As a solution, it is recommended to implement specialized software for billing and employee performance monitoring, along with training in office tools to optimize operational efficiency. Additionally, it is proposed to establish monitoring processes that allow for the evaluation of productivity and the minimization of human errors.
