Abstract

Objective. In this paper we sought to study a proposal to Cucuta an area of economic integration for sustainable development in the region is established. Method. Working groups were held, surveys were conducted and case studies were analyzed at national and international level, we determinate the route to follow for improvement. Results. Among the main results of the dismantling large production sector and academia, a culture of informality and detachment of research and a resistance to upgrading production processes found.
