Abstract

Research of the control environment as a fundamental mechanism in some commercial organizations Monteria, Cordoba, this arises from the need and interest of proving, if they are being performing a complete and correct implementation of control mechanisms. For this reason, a kind of qualitative research was addressed, because it aims to study the reality of the control environment which is evident in the natural context of some companies in the commercial sector with a focus on research - action, because it describes and explains human actions given into the control environment in each of the organizations; so, the research subject can reflect on their own experience and generate changes from it. To carry out research, there were five companies selected at random to work with in the commercial sector of Monteria, Cordoba, including: Invesa SA., Distrias SAS, Reforestadora Sinu Sucursal Colombia, Investments Social Line and Distributions Hernandez and Hernández Ltda.; in order to collect the information, a survey with closed and open questions (with clarification) was applied to employees of the company and another with the same characteristic was applied to managers and the instruments used were printed material and technical equipment were used as computers. Finally, the results showed that, in the companies surveyed give a significant importance to the establishment of controls, because most of them agree that they facilitate and ensure the fulfillment of the objectives and as a result of these, they are reaching in a large percentage the plans and goals drawn up by the directive.
