Implementation of an agile user experience design: a case study in a mobile application development company

Abstract

The successful integration of user experience (UX) into agile software development methodologies is essential for the effectiveness of digital solutions, given its versatile adaptability, timeliness, and suitability in applications developed by small and medium-sized technology enterprises. This study aims to establish a structured UX process that adheres to industry best practices while also addressing the specific needs of the company. The methodology used was descriptive-applied and combined a systematic literature review, a case study, and the application of a structured on-site instrument to evaluate UX in a real context. The results revealed a low rating in pragmatic quality, highlighting the need to improve the user experience within the process.
