Assessment of the state response to to child abuse and youth crime

Child abuse is a social and public health problem that tests the institutional capacities of the Colombian State, since its magnitude requires a significant response from different areas of public power. The consequences of child abuse are reflected in the development of maladaptive and violent behaviors that, when not professionally cared for, end up generating future young offenders in society. With this article we want to assess the state response to these two phenomena, for which the problem was analyzed conceptually and legally, trying to describe the factors that make up the variables of abuse and juvenile delinquency in order to understand the relationships of these phenomena
