Free expression vs human dignity in social networks and the control of its use with regard to children, girls and adolescents in Colombia

Abstract

As our society evolves and advances, along with it we find the emergence of different problems, among which we find those derived from the new information and communication technologies where social networks emerge as an attractive and easily accessible tool , which do not impact everyone in the same way as for a certain vulnerable population, such as children and adolescents specifically. These are immersed on a daily basis in this type of information technology, in which multiple risks can be foreseen at the time of excessive and uncontrolled use of them by an adult, tutor, guardian, among others, generating this forms as a consequence an alleged violation of the right to human dignity of these, at the time that others exercise their right to free expression or free development of personality.
