The Colombian State has gone through a long process of legal situations that allowed it to include within its codification a special regulation such as insolvency (Gustavo, 2005) for a natural person with a conception that determines the subject to whom this norm is to be applied and is precisely to the non-merchant. Precisely this procedure is what allows a non-merchant natural person to negotiate all his claims, validate previous agreements with his creditors and ultimately liquidate his own assets (Jorge, 2013) to comply with his obligations; This was only possible when our country had an autonomous and independent regime that regulated the matter, thus giving rise to the figure of insolvency operators and the legal tools that would allow the implementation of the procedure.
