Abstract

Today we live through the process approach due to ISO 9000 in 2004, whose greatest contribution was making companies to recognize that, as a principle of its quality management system, the whole enterprise have to be watched as managed by processes. A process is defi ned as a set of interrelated activities that transform inputs into outputs which, in turn, are inputs to other processes. Hence, the process approach helps to identify a total of activities as they relate to the organizational level. Because of this, this article details why this approach is important, what benefi ts provide with in organizations and what issues are generated for not adopting it.
